Exchange Highlights "We Are All Witnesses"

Exchange was off the charts last night with Chad Veach bringing an amazing word called "We Are All Witnesses." He spoke on Acts 4:13-20 focusing on verse 20 "...we can't keep quiet about what we've seen and heard." MSG

In order to be witnesses for Jesus:

  1. We need people that are confident in Christ. Impossible for man is possible for God. Success breads confidence—our God has never failed anyone and he's not going to start with you.
  2. We need to tell people about him. If people hear about him, they'll believe because the name of Jesus is irresistible.
  3. We need to tell people what we've seen and heard. The presence of God abides on the ark of the testimony. So remember what God has done in your life!

Everyone creative, or not, is welcome at Team Night tonight. We'll be meeting at 7:30PM at 155 E. 22nd St. If you're interested in anything creative you should definitely be there. Email NYCcreative@hillsong.com for more information. See you there!

Exchange Recap: "Prepare Your Minds for Action"

Last night we were privileged to hear the amazing Kevin Singleton speak about "Preparing Your Minds for Action." He spoke about his passion to change public school's through the message of Jesus.

He gave some practical ways to achieve the dreams God has placed in our hearts:

  1. Try Again. Success means every time you fail, you try again. (Proverbs 24:16 & Philippians 3:12-14)
  2. Hard Work. Pray like it's up to God and work like its up to you. (Proverbs 14:23)
  3. Know the Law of the Harvest. You will reap a harvest later than you plant and you will reap a harvest greater than what you sowed. (Galatians 6:9)

You are created in the image of the creator, so don't forget about Team Night tonight at 7:30PM at 155 E. 22nd St. If you're interested in anything creative you should definitely be there. Email NYCcreative@hillsong.com for more information. See you there!

On Sunday, we were blessed to hear from Craig Gross of XXX Church, who preached about what it means to love your neighbor. "If you're not praying for your friends, there's no way you're praying for your enemies." Gross, who has been occupying the streets of the porn industry, challenged the assumption that your neighbor is someone who is like you or near you but instead the people God has called you to reach. We're gearing up for another explosive week at Hillsong, and here are ways you can get plugged in this week:

The Exchange was out of this world last night with Pastor Judah Smith bringing an amazing word called "The Father's House (There's Plenty of Room)." He talked about John 14:1-7 and John 21:1-14 and fitting in in the Father's house where there is plenty of room.

Pastor Judah said that one of the greatest necessities in life is to fit in and we're constantly asking ourselves, "Do I fit here?" We are always going to be looking for a place to sit at the cafeteria like we did in high school and wondering where we fit. The awesome thing is if Jesus prepares a place for you, you will fill that place—you always fit! So you can stop trying to fix yourself, because Jesus will fix you himself.

Don't forget Creative Team Night tonight at 7:30pm at 155 E 22nd St. You've been created to be creative so make sure to come and get the creative juices flowing! Email NYCcreative@hillsong.com for more information on getting involved.
